About Mid-Sioux
MID-SIOUX OPPORTUNITY INC.
Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc. serves Lyon, Sioux, Plymouth, Cherokee and Ida counties in northwest Iowa. Mid-Sioux was established in 1965 to fight poverty at a local level by assisting low-income families to become self-sufficient.
Mid-Sioux administers the following programs: Outreach and Crisis Services, Family Development Self-Sufficiency, Child Care Resource and Referral, Child and Adult Care Food Program, Women, Infants and Children, Maternal and Child Health Programs, Head Start and Early Head Start, Weatherization, and Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
A local Board of Directors representing the public, private and low-income sectors pilots Mid-Sioux's innovation processes and program operations. Thomas Letsche serves as the Board President.
