Asset Development

For low-income families who are consistently running low on monetary funds, MICA's asset development programs assist families in their month-to-month budgeting. By offering programs that help families budget their priorities and help them save for future expenses, MICA staff give families an opportunity to make key purchases, such as a car for transportation to and from work or boots that are a safety requirement for an individual's new job.

MICA's asset development programs provide budgeting and financial assistance that help families create savings accounts and maximize their tax returns. These programs are not only effective as a teaching tool for budget management, but are also some of the most effective programs at lifting families out of poverty.
