Maternal Health Program (MCH)

The Maternal Health Program includes two components:

  • Maternal health
  • Child health/dental health


These programs work towards the improvement of the health of mothers, infants, and children through:

  • Health education, referrals, and care coordination
  • Reduction of infant mortality rates and the incidence of preventable diseases and injuries
  • Increase in the number of children who have access to preventative health and dental care
  • Promotion of the development of community-based systems of health care
