Hours of operation: Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm
The Morrell Transition Center is funded through a National Emergency Grant awarded by the Department of Labor. The Center serves the dislocated workers and their families from the John Morrell Plant, Jacobson Bekins Logistics, Mossburg Sanitation, United Vending and Food Service and High Tech Electric. Services at the Center are provided as a collaboration through the Community Action Agency of Siouxland, Western Iowa Tech Community College Job Training Partners office, Nebraska Department of Labor and Iowa Workforce Development. Other partners that are able to provide services are invited to connect with the Center.
The Center offers furthering education classes including GED courses. Computer classes and language classes are also provided. Trainings will be offered to gain skills in emerging industries. Bilingual Outreach workers will help the dislocated workers with job searches and to connect with services.
Services include:

- ESL
- GED
- Basic Computer Classes
- Assistance in enrolling in an area Community College
- DHS Services
- Resume & Cover letter writing
- Assistance in preparing for a job interview
Referrals are made as needed to agencies that provide the following services:
